American Laser Centers
Armed Security Guards & threats
Consumer beware with all the laser shut downs and complaints I recommend that you pay as you go because there been some fast shuffling of business ethics by America's temporary laser hair removal parlors. Laser parlors are in deep financial trouble because consumer are not clearing up so laser parlors are now offering "The Sky Is The Limit" treatment packages with 30, 40 and even 50% if you prepay from $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 and more to get the deal of the new millennium. However consumers have been ripped of after paying all that cash up front when they arrive next day only to find their laser parlor has shut down.
American Laser Centers in many of their franchises have cut their training programs down to the bone which means an hour or so of training for their laser technicians that provide your treatments.

Many of the laser parlors in my opinion hire decorators to make you feel like you are Caesar of the Roman Empire with its excessive gaudy interior decorations. Yes its nice to have luxury however laser parlors are so fixated on image they don't have enough income to maintain and upgrade equipment. However in my opinion their decorators make their shops look like a bordello for the average Roman Centurion.
Another fact about laser parlors is that still are selling over the counter anti-pain lidocaine compounded ointments that killed two women because the dosage was to high. However if the ointment does not kill you the mark up will, some of their snake oils and charms are marked 1000% and more. For instance a lidocaine ointment marketed by Sona and called Sonacaine can be purchased at Osco or Walgreens for $5.95 can cost you $99.99, gee the price of fancy package can cost you so much.
This article is about posts and details of how it came to be that American Laser Center hired an armed security guard to stop a physician from examining and treating his own patients.
Well its seem America's Laser Parlor Industry and American Laser Center just keeps on piling up the complaints by angry consumers and physicians. Presently I am waiting for more information to come in however until than I recommend all people considering temporary laser hair removal to visit the links about complaints made against American Laser Centers.

I TOLD YOU SO!©
On November 22, 2005 I TOLD YOU SO©
Negative advertising regarding the pseudo-professional outlets known as “The Laser Parlors Operators".
1. Their primary function is to hide the truth, deceive the public and maliciously tarnish the reputation of honest hard working State Licensed & Registered Electrologists.
2. These heinous acts are executed with exaggerated lies, deceptive advertising, wildly unsubstantiated unproved claims and unsubstantiated testing results.
3. The staff members are trained to and deliberately withhold dangerous facts about this scientifically unproven dangerous product known as temporary laser hair removal.
You the consumer have the right to know the truth and facts. If their product was so superior then why do "Laser Parlor Operators” relentlessly put down honest hard working State Licensed & Registered Electrologists? The
Electrolysis industry is a primarily a woman's profession that has been forced to fight these hostile scam artists who use and denigrate woman. A male dominated business group that is devoted to taking over the electrolysis-electrology industry perpetrates these attacks upon this traditionally woman-owned and operated professional industry.
Who are these men? They are greedy corporate laser manufactures and physicians who have targeted the electrologists' pocketbook as the easiest way to make an easy buck. All women patients with minor to severe unwanted hair problems are psychologically and financially targeted with slick, airbrushed cyber models. This advertising is strictly image orientated and does not represent scientific testing by a single legitimate and reputable testing facility such as Underwriters Laboratories.
Women are selectively targeted and marketed with doctored photos of instant results and that is specifically used to target a compulsive decision. They promote their product using a method, which pinpoints the unsuspecting woman's desire to know how they would like to appear rather than how they will actually appear. The promise of instant results from temporary laser hair removal to this date have gone totally unproven.
“Laser Parlor Operators” are like locusts; after they clean out one town they fly to another. Since the inception of “Laser Parlors” their illegal acts have caused an immeasurable and permanent loss of money to the female consumers. Yet, the financial rip off is only one aspect of their malice. Without question the women who succumb to these sales temporary hair removal gurus have been inundated with physical maiming, mutilation and permanent disfiguring third degree burns.
Women are experiencing first, second and third degree burns in record numbers and these crimes against women have gone unpunished. Why? Because many women do not want go to court about something that is so personal and embarrassing as having an unwanted hair problem and the “Laser Parlor Operators” know it.
A New Breed of The Violators: The non-licensed Certified Professional Electrologists Who Praise Electrolysis On One Of Their Web Sites And Condemn Electrolysis On Another Laser Site That They Own.
The “Laser Parlors” are slowly dying off however at a great expense to the female consumer. Example the “Laser Parlors” state, “Now you do not have to suffer painful electrolysis.” Let's think about that statement. "First of all in 1998 the FDA ruled that “Laser Operators” couldn't claim nor advertise the laser as painless, because in fact it is quite painful." Yet unscrupulous physicians, techs and non-licensed "Certified Professional Electrologists" laugh at and disregard this law with total impunity. They advertise with images of caring physicians yet in many of these “Parlors” the physicians are not on site. Why? They want your money without working for it and will use other “Laser Parlor Paid Women” with no values to exploit you! Again it is what they don't tell you. That is if the laser is so painless then why do Laser operators” use intravenous narcotics and muscle relaxants? My research has indicated that some physicians actually hand out Vicodan as an incentive and or a lure to get the consumer in the door!
There is a plague of locusts that victimize women with their “Laser Parlors” and “Certified Wonder Electrologists.” They thrive in the gray zone of illegality and especially where there are no State Boards of Electrologists. They use the “Certified Wonder Electrologists” whose education is defined by the fact that they have not attended more than three days to fifteen days of electrolysis education. Many of these non-licensed Certified Electrologists actually believe that they are competent.
ON MAY 3, 2007 I WROTE
According to Dr. Moody of American Laser Centers complained that they where always constantly late in paying him to operate and oversee their medical policies. Dr. Moody also stated American laser was operating far beyond the acceptable norms of medical care and ethics including an absence of requisite medical standards. In addition he had a long list of complaints that needed immediate attention.
1. American Laser Center technicians were being hired on the spot and given a one hour or so crash training course from other temporary laser hair technicians and they started performing treatments immediately.
2. Dr Moody, the medical director, was fired and was physically removed with threat of an security guard. In addition they prevented Dr. Moody from caring for any of his patients in any form or manner. His staff where instructed to gossip that the American Laser Centers where never to refer a patient to Dr. Moody' clinic because the he would try to steal their clients.
3. Dr. Moody complained that patients were being diagnosed by untrained laser technicians and treated without being seen by a physician.
